Music Video Of The Week: Like An Arrow – Lucy Rose

Our music video of the week comes from Lucy Rose with her charming new single Like an Arrow.

Shot in a single take in Spain last month, the video sees Lucy wandering through a remote forest before jumping off a cliff, stuntwoman style, into a beautiful waterfall. It’s totally different to the singer-songwriter’s previous videos, with Rose describing it as a mental and physical challenge. Talking about the cliff jump she said, “It expresses freedom, escapism and doing something that really makes you feel something, just like your favourite song does”.

Like an Arrow is a subtle and assured track, with Rose’s trademark soft vocals and melancholy tones the perfect accompaniment to a lazy summer afternoon. The single comes from the Warwickshire born artist’s upcoming album, Work It Out, which is released next month.

As well as releasing the new album, Rose will play at a number of festivals across the summer, including Truck Festival, Kendal Calling and Reading, before embarking on her own headline tour in the autumn. Tour dates and venues can be found below:
