Our selection for music video of the week is Jennifer Davies’ Disconnected.
The video, which was directed by long-term collaborator Maxx Peter, features fashion pieces from designer Nabil Nayal and captures the defining moments of Davies’ career by using a snappy Polaroid picture format. It was filmed in the wind farms of Palm Springs in sunny California and has a dramatic yet summery feel to it.
Disconnected is a punchy pop track showcasing Davies’ strong vocals. The single was inspired by an alternative take on Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream and is perfect for fans of Icona Pop.
The track is the final song from the Lapse of Time EP, which was released through Davies’ own record label STUDIIO/Universal. Davies is currently working with Chris Braide (Lana Del Rey, Britney Spears) and Tord Kundsen (The Wombats) on her debut album.
